O&L LEISURE WELCOMES LOCAL TOURISTS
Re-imagined Africa rising out of the dust
Progress at Mokuti Etosha has been steady and over the last few weeks, excitement is rife as the lounges, Lobby Safari Bar and Restaurant, kitchen, fire pit, pool bar as well as wading pool and baby pool are rising out of the dust. Says Etienne Fourie- General Manager: Mokuti: “We no longer have to imagine where it will be and what it will look like. We can now, almost daily, see the progress and experience the elements coming together. The outside walls are taking shape and more features and components like the walk in fridges in our kitchen and the sun deck covers are already on site and they too enhance the overall feeling of achievement and excitement. It is an amazing time and we cannot wait to open in March 2023 and present Africa re-imagined to all our guests.”
Mokuti Etosha has been closed for major renovations since March 2022 and at that time Norbert Wurm, O&L Leisure Managing Director said that it was time for another one of the O&L Leisure establishments to be transformed into a contemporary destination, whilst preserving its 32-year character and heritage. “This grand dame is ready for a facelift and keeping in line with our Purpose at O&L - ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’ - we want to ensure the lodge will remain at the forefront of the hospitality industry in Namibia. It is with faith in our future and the future of Namibian tourism, that O&L is investing in Mokuti once again to create new realities and set new world-class standards for our industry and country,” Wurm said.
Mokuti Etosha will open in March 2023 and promises service excellence on all level. Mokuti Etosha is more than just a lodge in the bush. Guests will become part of sustainably growing and protecting our people, our environment, and our country. Some of the fantastic experiences on offer include bush walks with the local Haikom San People, pamper sessions at Omulilo Spa, property and night drives and sky safaris and the Ontouka reptile park. There is so much more than meets the eye – at Mokuti Etosha – Africa re-imagined.
